Chairman of Ikwuano LG Transition Committee Hon Osinachi Nwaka on Thursday kicked off the preliminary stages of maiden edition of Dr Alex Otti Secondary School Unity Games at Isiala - Oboro, the LG headquarters to jumpstart the screening exercises for the  Competition



In his pre-kickoff address, Mayor Nwaka, charged the competition screening committee to meticulously select individuals not simply to represent Ikwuano, but also with the capacity to return with laurels.


The Mayor also encouraged all participants to give their best, stressing that the competition serves as a unique opportunity for them to exhibit their talents to a broader audience. He  further announced a reward of N20,000 for the triumphant team in the kickoff match


The Dr Alex Otti Secondary School Unity Games is a brain child of Abia State Governor  Alex Chioma Otti being his administration’s determination to revitalize grassroots sports in the State.


The competition flagged off on Tuesday, January 22nd was created to encouraged  students to showcase their talents, not only by representing Abia State but also competing at the national level.
