The first beneficiaries from 'Thank God It's Friday,  TGIF With Dr Alex Otti and Mayor Ossy' empowerment programme recently inaugurated by the Transition Committee of Ikwuano LG, Hon Osinachi Nwaka have emerged    


The duo of Mssrs Emmanuel Agomuo and Uchechukwu Daniel respectively from Ndoro - Oboro and Awomukwu Olokko were in  the LG headquarters on Friday, February 2, 2024 on a Thank you mission and literarily halted activities for the day as they expressed appreciations to the Ikwuano Mayor in jubilation and excitement. 


The TGIF programme inaugurated last week by Hon Nwaka was targeted at empowerment of Persons With Disability,  PWD. In the programme, two PWDs would be granted the sum of N250,000 to boost their business or trade 


The first winners, Agumuo and Daniel emerged during the inauguration, but returned express their gratitude and appreciation for the gesture which they said have made a significant difference in their lives and that of their family.


They applauded the Ikwuano Mayor for his benevolence and prayed for the success of his administration and the wellbeing of his family.


Nwaka, in response, urged the recipients to judiciously utilize the financial assistance for the growth of their businesses. He assured the community and its special citizens that his administration, with the steadfast support of Abia State Governor Alex Otti, remains committed to providing ongoing support to marginalized communities and individuals in Ikwuano. He stressed that the philanthropic gesture reflects  Otti's dedication to fostering economic empowerment and inclusivity in the State.
