The missing Osinachi siblings, Divine, middle now found


The Media office of the Transition Committee Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Hon Osinachi Nwaka on Wednesday announced the successful rescue of Master Divine Osinachi, a six-year-old child who went missing on May 10, 2024 with his two siblings: Gideon, aged eight years and Israel, aged four years 


The Media unit of Nwaka, Mayor of Ikwuano stated that Divine was found on May 21, 2024, in Ekwulobia, Anambra State in a rescue operation  coordinated  by  officers from the Abia State Police Command, Homeland Security,  and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). 


Dailyledger.com.ng reports that the three Osinachi siblings—Gideon, Divine  and Israel were abducted on May 10, 2024, while returning home from school in Amaoba Ime Oboro, Ikwuano LGA, Abia State. Their grandmother reportedly entrusted them to a motorcyclist (popularly known as okada), who subsequently disappeared with them 


Mayor Nwaka expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts and assured the public that the search for the remaining two children, Gideon and Israel, is ongoing. "We will leave no stone unturned in our quest to bring all our children back safely," he stated.


He further urged the public to exercise caution and verify any information before disseminating it on social media to prevent the spread of misinformation. "The safety and well-being of our children remain our  utmost priority of" he stated. 


The Mayor's media unit further urged the public with any information that may assist in the ongoing search to  contact the nearest police station or the designated emergency number provided below.
