Former Deputy Chairman, Ikwuano LGA, Abia State, Comrade Cokey Lordson Nwachukwu on Wednesday affirmed that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP would emerge stronger, and more cohesive after the exodus of some members
Comrade Cokey who was reacting to the recent resignations from the PDP likened the process to shedding of weight by the party, and argued that going forward, a stronger and more focused party would emerge. He dismissed insinuations that he would join the decampees. "Am committed to the PDP", he said
The youths activist and grassroots mobiliser urged PDP loyalists who have decided to swim or sink with the party to remain committed to the PDP's values and objectives
"Despite challenges, unity and perseverance are paramount. Let us strengthen our resolve, engage in constructive dialogue, and work towards a stronger, more cohesive party. Your dedication is vital in shaping the future of our party and the nation. Stay steadfast, remain engaged, and let us collectively strive for a better tomorrow", he urged PDP faithful.
The PDP chieftain who admitted that the party needs to be re-engineered proffered that the party leadership could fostering unity within the party by addressing grievances promptly, and adherence to party principles
