Gunmen have kidnapped Aribibia Fubara, a director of the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service.


The abduction occurred when the assailants arrived via a speedboat from Okirika Waterfront and targeted the Marine Base area of Port Harcourt, the state capital, reports Newsweek.


The sux armed men executed the operation in a commando style, firing shots into the air. Upon reaching their destination, they swiftly located Fubara, seized him, and escaped in their boat.


Rivers Police Command’s pokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying an investigation has commenced.


Iringe-Koko, a Superintendent of Police, stated, “Yes, the command is aware of the incident.”
