Hon Obi Aguocha

Again the member Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, Hon Obi Aguocha has been called out over his shoddy representation, especially his inability to fulfill strings of  promises made to his constituents.

In a letter to the lawmaker circulating on the social media, For Us By Us, FUBU  movement, a mass mobilisation and pro good governance advocacy association on Tuesday  issued a 60-day deadline to  him to commence work on the Ariam Usaka electricity project which he promised to fix while campaigning for the office.

"The people of Ikwuano/Umuahia are tired of unfulfilled promises.

Your commitment to fixing the Ariam Usaka electricity project remains an unresolved issue that requires immediate action. As representatives of the For Us By Us movement, we firmly believe in matching words with concrete actions, a standard you have yet to meet", the letter signed by Victor Umegbu on behalf of Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu Facilitator of FUBU stated.

It further stated: "Therefore, we are issuing a 60-day deadline for you to commence work on the electricity project. Should this deadline pass without tangible progress, the FUBU movement, under the leadership of Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu, will assume responsibility and initiate the project ourselves"

The text of the letter reads as follows:

Dear Hon. Aguocha,

We acknowledge with cautious optimism your decision to tour all wards in Ikwuano Umuahia, a step Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu and the For Us By Us movement have consistently advocated. However, we must emphasize that such engagements, while necessary, must go beyond rhetoric. The people of Ikwuano Umuahia are tired of unfulfilled promises.

Your commitment to fixing the Ariam Usaka electricity project remains an unresolved issue that requires immediate action. As representatives of the For Us By Us movement, we firmly believe in matching words with concrete actions, a standard you have yet to meet. Therefore, we are issuing a 60-day deadline for you to commence work on the electricity project. Should this deadline pass without tangible progress, the For Us By Us movement, under the leadership of Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu, will assume responsibility and initiate the project ourselves.

We stand ready, as always, to contribute meaningfully towards making Ikwuano and indeed the Ikwuano Umuahia constituency a better place. Our movement has consistently delivered on its promises, and we expect the same level of commitment from you as an elected representative.

We look forward to your swift action on this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Victor UMEGBU
