Dr Dom Onwuzuruigbo


Ikwuano LG chapter of the PDP has nominated Dr Dominic Onwuzuruigbo as it's Chairmanship flagbearer for the Nov 2 scheduled Local Government Council elections in Abia State.


Onwuzuruigbo who from 1999 to 2022 had a chequered career in the LG system emerged as the consensus candidate from Ariam-Usaka clan where the PDP zoned the position.


Dr Onwuruigbo ii s currently a businessman and Chief Executive Officer, CEO of  DUBEC Hotel and Suites,


He served from  2016-2022 as the first indigenous Head of Service, HOS and was a Senior Special Assistant to former  Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu


He had also served as  Secretary to Ikwuano LG and  Education Secretary, Ikwuano Local Government Education Authority 


He had also served twice as Transition Committee Chairman of  Ikwuano LG


Chief Onwuruigbo who has been honoured with the traditional title Ugomba 1 of Ariam/Usaka says his mission as the LG chairman of a to re-write positively the developmental narrative of Ikwuano LG and to "To develop both the human and material potential in our local government through constant interaction with the rural dwellers; Plus identifying the urgent needs of the people and the best way to attend to them"
