On behalf of all newly appointed leaders of State Working Committee (SWC) of Labour Party Abia State Chapter, I heartily want to thank the almighty God for this well deserved appointment as the State Chairman (Acting) of our great Party in Abia State.
We respectfully want to thank our working and able Governor, His Execellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), the executive Governor of Abia State and the leader of the Labour Party in the State for this privilege granted to us to serve.
To the immediate past leadership of Labour Party in Abia State under the Acting Chairmanship of Sir Emmanuel Nweze Otti, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve under you and we believe that our elevation will also provide you with higher position of service and responsibility in the state government, because loyalty should be rewarded.
To the national leadership of Labour Party in Nigeria, under the able leadership of Barrister Julius Abure, we thank and congratulate you for consistent victory and quality leadership that secured Abians the opportunity of the amiable Governor in the last general election and other winners of various elective positions in the 2023 elections nationwide.
We are praying that God will keep on giving you the strength of good health, understanding and capacity for more effective and efficient quality leadership delivery for the growth, repositioning and strengthening of the Party globally.
To all the faithful members of the Labour Party in Abia State, please we have come in Peace with three (3) cardinal points agenda.
(1) Peace
(2) Unity
(3) Progress of the Labour Party globally.
We sincerely request for your cooperation as we believe in Peace, irrespective of the challenging differences. We will, by the special grace of God, ensure that peace reigns because Peace is priceless and no meaningful progressive development can be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour. Therefore, we must all be intentional about fostering internal cohesion and unity of purpose in our great Party.
On the ongoing Local Government elections in the State, we are sure that our Governor who emerged victorious in the last election through democratic process and being a true democrat will ensure that democratic system will be enforced for the successful conduct of this election.
To the inter-party minor differences and challenges, we also believe that all leaderships at the top will give us a little listening ears, as we believe that our intervention can divinely achieve true reconciliation and Peace in the Labour Party family nationwide.
Furthermore, we kindly pray that all members of Labour Party particularly in Abia State should by all means remain calm and not over heat the polity with rumours and hate speeches that will not promote Peace, Progress and Prosperity in the state.
Finally, all local government leaders of our great Party should ensure that peace, unity and justice are enforced and discipline maintained among party members as this is the only condition that will reposition the Labour Party in our local wards to the State level.
Once more, we thank all members of Labour Party and OBIDIENT Family and to seek for your total cooperation to enable us deliver expected quality leadership to Abians. We are ready and prepared to meaningfully advise and mediate on every lingering matter.
