River State is on the early stages of anarchy as protests and explosions are rocking different parts of the State allegedly stage managed by loyalists to former governor Nyesom Wike, currently the Minister of the FCT.


The protests and explosions erupted shortly after the Inspector General of Police ordered the withdrawal of Police guarding the LG secretariat to prevent their being overrun by hoodlums. The IGP gave the orders after a successful LG elections in the State on Saturday, Oct 5 and their swearing in on Sunday, Oct 6 by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.


Early reports says that the secretariat of Eleme LGA has been  set abl@ze by arsonists, who threw explosives into the LG secretariat 


Dailyledger.com.ng gathered that Wike's loyalist who lost out in the build up to the elections have allegedly taken over some LG Councils while others are being rocked by protests and explosions


Emohua LGA had allegedly being taken over by members of the PDP opposed to the elections.


In Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, protesters reportedly invaded the council headquarters in Omoku, refusing the newly sworn in chairman from resumption
