The Local Organising Committee, LOC for Ikwuano Football League has released the fine details for the action-packed 'Super 8 Tournament' proudly sponsored by the business tycoon-philantrophist, Chief Nzeribe Okegbue, PhD 


The Tournament  kicks off on Nov. 9, with the finals to be played on Dec. 29, 2024 at Isiala-Oboro Mini Stadium, headquarters of Ikwuano LGA.

In a press release proffering necessary information to guide teams and players during the Tournament, the Head of Media for the LOC, Mr Nnaji Ugbaji states that the official Rule Book will be made available to the teams on Oct. 19, and they will have two weeks to thoroughly review and understand same


From Nov 1-7, 2024, all participating  teams must complete the full registration of their players in full compliance with  the Rule Book.


On November 7th, 2024, teams which are successfully  registered teams will be announced and their appearance fee of N100,000 paid to them.


Fixtures for the matches were also detailed in the statement made available to newsmen.


Earlier,  the LOC chairman, Mr Ogaranya Ifemeje had applauded Chief Okegbue for his sponsorship of the Ikwuano Football League 2024 Tournament. He added that the gesture will ignite emergence of more football talents from the LG, which he noted has contributed its share so far both to national and international football including the current international rave Kenneth Omeruo


Chief Okegbue in his response explained that he believes in maximising human potentials for the benefit of the whole community and stressed that youthful potentials, skills and energy must be mobilised towards building a better society.

All teams will receive the official Rule Book. You will have two weeks to thoroughly review and understand the rules.


📅  November 1st – 7th, 2024:

During this period, all teams must complete the full registration of their players, ensuring compliance with the Rule Book.


💼  November 7th, 2024:

Upon successful registration, all fully registered teams will receive their appearance fee.
