Dr Ifeanyi Uke, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Ifeanyi Uke Foundation was over the weekend honoured with yet another award in  recognition of his dedication and impact as a philanthropist and service to community 


"In appreciation of your selfless acts of generousity to humanity and in  recognition of your outstanding philanthropy and contributions to the development of  Ikwuano LG in particular and Abia State/Nigeria generally, we honour you with this 'Award for Philanthropy', the Abuja, FCT branch of Oboro Clan Welfare Association (OCWA) said while presenting the award to him 


OCWA, an umbrella body for Oboro clan, in Ikwuano LG,  resident outside their communities presented the award to the Foundation on the occasion of OCWA's 2024 New Yam Festival cum Honours Award for  individuals that have contributed positively towards the socio-economic advancement of their communities


 Receiving the Award in Abuja on behalf of Dr. Uke, the Legal adviser of Ifeanyi Uke Foundation,  Mr  Chika Favour Ben, expressed gratitude to OCWA and entire Oboro Community for  honouring Dr Uke and promised that it would spur the  Foundation and Dr Uke to fast-track their vision of working towards an equitable society where every citizen lives in a life where he/she is not denied of the basic necessities.


 Dailyledger.com.ng reports that Dr Ifeanyichukwu Uke, a Forensic Clinical Psychologist and entrepreneur, though based abroad is firmly rooted  heart and spirit in his Fatherland and connects  with the deprivations, the challenges and unease of youths there.


 Courtesy of  rapidly sprouting Information Technology, he keeps in touch with his Ikwuano LG roots, especially the youths on almost hourly basis. His interactions with them via the social media  embraces all in love and brotherhood, but like Paul the Apostle, he equally seeks for an exchange of warmth and affection beyond what technology could offer, and he does that through his philanthropy.
