The Prince G. O Ndubueze-led State Caretaker State Working Committee has constituted a 17-man Caretaker Executive Committee for Ikwuano LG chapter of the party in Abia State.
According to a release signed by Abia LP acting State chairman and acting Secretary, Prince Ndubueze and Comrade John Igbojionu respectively, the appointment of the 17-man Caretaker Executive is in line with the party's constitution, Article 13.3.8 and the Committee is expected to run the affairs of the party for a period of three months effective from its October 10, 2024 date of appointment
The acting Executive Committee chaired by Comrade Nwabuba Prince with Kelvin L. Orunta is equally expected to receive reports from the wards, restructure and reposition the party and to conduct primary at the expiration of its tenure
Other members of the committee include: Lolo Joyce Atuma; Frank Godwin; Barr. Chinatu Onwuchekwa; Emmanuel Nduka; Chioma Mba and Ezenwa Ogbonna
Others are Chief Ekwueme; Jude Pius Omeruo; Florence Izuchukwu; Osondu Chinedu; Emeka Ikeogu Charity and Ukandu Richard.
It would be recalled that after the court judgement in his favour, the LP National Chair, Julius Abure moved to reposition the party by sacking the party's former SWCs, a development which forced Abia State Governor Alex Otti to move his loyalists to the ZLP in order to prevent the Abure-led LP from gaining control of the LGs during the recently conducted LG polls .
