"There is a consensus that Ikwuano - widely accepted as Abia's food basket, but suffering dearth of infrastructural development - must be prioritised in the allocation of developmental projects as the South East Development Commission, SEDC takes off. ensuring that the area receives the attention it deserves", says the For Us By Us, FUBU Convener, Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu rising from a meeting with the recently appointed top chiefs of respectively the SEDC and North West Development Commission.
The FUBU leader, according to the Movement's Media Team stated that Ugwumba Ishionwu had a productive and strategic meeting with the recently appointed Director of Finance at the South East Development Commission, SEDC, Rt Hon Stanley Ohajuruka and Hon. Chijioke Chukwu, also recently nominated South East representative at the North West Development Commission, NEDC.
Ohajuruka and Chukwu were respectively former Speaker and Minority Leader of Abia State House of Assembly, and are awaiting confirmation of their appointment by the Senate.
Dailyledger.ng.com gathered that the FUBU leader explored avenues of establishing a working partnership with the Ben Kalu Grassroots Movement and fostering collaboration for impactful grassroots development.
Ishionwu further warmly congratulated both leaders on their well-deserved appointments and assured them of his unwavering support as they continue to serve the region and the nation at large.
The FUBU Media described the meeting as a testament to the Movement's shared vision of "...lifting our communities through collaboration, innovation, and people-focused initiatives.
