President Bola Tinubu, will on Tuesday, December 17, present the proposed N47.9 trillion 2025 Appropriation Bill before both chambers of the National Assembly.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio made the announcement during plenary on Thursday.

Akpabio said senators would first converge on the Senate chambers before proceeding to the the House of Representatives for the joint session.

He said President Tinubu will make the budget presentation at the House of Representatives chamber by 11am.

It would be recalled that last Tuesday, President Tinubu had submitted the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF/FSP) for 2025-2027 to the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Key parameters in the MTEF/FSP include $75 oil price benchmark per barrel, daily oil production of 2.06 million barrels, an exchange rate of N1,400 to $1 and a targeted GDP growth rate of 6.4%.

These figures form the basis for consideration and approval of the 2025 budget.
