Abia State Governor Alex Otti on Tuesday approved a series of new appointments and reassignments in his administration. In a statement,  the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ukoha Kalu Ukoha stated that the following individuals have been appointed to key positions:

Among the new appointees include the former Mayor of Ikwuano LG, Hon Osinachi Nwaka who was appointed Director General, Ministry of Finance Incorporated. Others include:  

1.  Mr Chijioke Nwankwo – Deputy Chief of Staff, Deputy Governor’s Office 

2.  Mr. Emmanuel Okpechi, FCA – Special Adviser, Internally Generated Revenue

 3.  Dr. Emeka Enyiazu – Special Adviser, Education (Tertiary) 

4.  Mr. Chinasa Frank Iheanyi – Liaison Officer, National Assembly 

5.   Mr. Ndubuisi Ike – Special Adviser, Finance & Economic Development 


6.   Dr. Eric Egwuibe – Special Adviser, Budget and Planning 

7.   Mr. Osinachi Nwaka – Director General, Ministry of Finance Incorporated


 Reassignments: The following officials have been reassigned to new roles to align with the State’s strategic priorities:

 1.  Mr. Chimereze Okeigbo – Chief Executive Officer, Abia SME Microfinance Bank 

2.  Urenna Abazie – Director General, Abia State Orientation Agency 

3.  Mrs. Chinwe Kalu Uba – Special Assistant, Industry & SMEs 

4.  Mrs. Matilda Anyamele – Special Assistant, Arts, Culture & Creative Economy 


The Governor reiterated his commitment to fostering growth, innovation, and accountability within the State’s administration. These appointments and reassignments reflect his administration’s focus on harnessing talent to meet the developmental needs of Abia State.
