The Chairman of Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Elder Abraham Amah has approved the appointment of the following distinguished Abians to serve in the Abia State Shadow Government (ABSSHG). "These appointments reflect our commitment to holding the State government accountable to its responsibility to Abia citizens, scrutinise actions, inactions and policies of Abia government; as well as offer alternative opinions. These appointees will mirror the positions of each individual State government ministry with their expertise and dedication to serving the people of Abia State with differing but viable alternative viewpoints", he said
Members of the Shadow Government include:

2. Barr Bob Ogu. Shadow Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General
3. Obinna Oriaku Shadow Commissioner for Finance & Budget Scrutiny
5. Chief Uche Aguoru. Shadow Commissioner for Due process and Project Implementation Monitoring
6. Prof SK Orie. Shadow Commissioner for Education & Local Content Development
7. Barr Ukpai Ukairo. Shadow Commissioner for Human Rights & Ombudsman
8. Chinonye Mba. Shadow Commissioner for Youth Development
9. Dr. Moses Orji Shadow Commissioner for Information and Policy Strategy
10. Chioma Nelda. Shadow Commissioner for Women Development.
11.Dr Ike Onyenweaku. Shadow Commissioner for Agriculture

These appointments are part of our ongoing efforts to build a robust alternative solution for governance that is responsive to the needs and aspirations of our citizens. The members of the Abia State Shadow Government are tasked with not only providing alternative viewpoints, but also to conduct research, and offer recommendations on policies that affect the lives of our people.
We believe that by empowering capable individuals to take on these shadow roles, we can strengthen the democratic process and work collaboratively towards a prosperous and united Abia State.
