Deutsche Welle is hiring Lagos correspondent

DEADLINE: APRIL 6, 2025 — Deutsche Welle is hiring a Correspondent for its DW Bureau Lagos on a two-year freelance contract basis.
The correspondent’s duties include reporting and analysis on current events in West Africa, producing reports and background packages from West Africa as well as live interviews and broadcasts for TV (in English).
Other responsibilities include the creation of multimedia content for the social media platforms of DW, development of background programmes about West Africa and the region, organisation of conversations and conducting interviews with relevant figures.
Applicants must have a university degree and completed traineeship or comparable journalistic qualification.
The correspondent must have experience as video journalist and mobile reporter and professional language proficiency in English.
The deadline for applications is April 6, 2025.
