BBC Hausa is hiring a journalist in Abuja

DEADLINE: MAY 17, 2025 — The BBC World Service is looking to recruit a journalist who is fluent in Hausa and English and based in Abuja to join its team.
The BBC Hausa journalist will work across radio and digital platforms. The successful candidate will research, report, write, translate, edit or adapt stories or programme material.
The successful candidate will be a fluent Hausa speaker and writer, with a very good level of English. A keen interest in current affairs, digital market developments in Nigeria and other West African countries is essential.
Proven recent and relevant experience as a journalist is also required.
